I also have an oil painting with a label on the back "Art Associates - New York City". Artist signature J. Field. It is a painting of the sea and sailboats (dark colors). Who is this person? |

I have an oil painting by Robt Brown with the art associates- new york city on the back also. Does anyone know anything about this group? I know Bobert Brown (Bob) painted for the Wpa Federal Arts Program...does anyone know it this is associated? |

Hello! I too have a painting that is a floral still life by J.E.Greenleaf. It is marked "Art Associates--New York City" on the back. I am also looking up information on him or her and I will post them as soon as I find something out! |

I have 3 pictures and one is by Janet E
Greenleaf. All 3 of the pictures are noted on back for Art Associates New York City and that the picture is a gen. oil painting. All 3 are done by different artist but all 3 are of a vase of flowers , look the same but with differences. They are old and the frames are plain but old with gold chipping off and you can see silver under the gold. I tend to think that these were made by artist and then sold by Art Associates in New York. They are not done on canvas but some kind of board. Any others out there got any of these? |

I, too, am interested in information aboutJanet E. Greenleaf floral painting with same sort of information on back. My 100 year old mother-in-law wants to sell it, but we have no idea of the value. |

My aunt recently passed away and she left an oil painting to my mother. It too is by Janet E. Greenleaf. It has a sticker on the back that states that it is a genuine oil painting and from Art Associates - New York City.
The painting is of a blue vase of flowers with one flower laying at the base of the vase.
I am also looking for more info. about this artist.

I also have an old painting by J.E. Greenleaf. It belonged to a Doctor in my community that died in his 90's. Mine has a sticked on the back dustcover that says it is a Genuine oil Painting. The artist' name is Janet E. Greenleaf. It is from "Art Associates- New York City" I have found some work on Janet E. Greenleaf that says she has been painting for about 30 years. I don't know if this is the same person as I have had this painting 20 plus years myself. If you have anymore info. please contact me.
