I''m having difficulty pricing Giclees at a saleable price. Part of it is education, but it seems the average frame shop customer who thumbs through our print racks isn''t willing to pay what we are asking for modern giclee prints. We have a local print maker who charges 12 cents psi for scanning. So a 17 x 22 print costs $45.00 to make plus packaging. Then you figure your split with the artist and try to come up with a price right? Does anyone have any input? These are unembellished and not from well known artists, but nice pieces nevertheless.

Giclee print prices are very region specific. We are a giclee printmaker in Chicago who works with individual artists as well as galleries and publishing companies. We recommend that our individual artists sell their giclee prints for 3X their cost.

Feel free to contact me directly offlist if I can be of any further assistance.
