I''m positive that barn is the one where I grew up and where I lived when the picture was painted. Even the child would be my son and the dog was HUEY, our Golden Retriever.
Everything is the same exactly! The garage shed, the door within the door, the door above the door, the door on the right was where Dan the work horse had his stall. The gate is the same as the metal gate they took down and proped against the barn. The background is the same across the idle tobacco field and beyond is where I now live only 500 feet away. I vaguely remember someone coming and taking a picture when my son was about 6 or 8 years old. I guess that''s where this began. I want a print so badly. I KNOW it has to be the barn in which i played when small. I know that has to be my son and Huey after we returned there years later to live. Now the barn is gone as I sold the farm and they demolished the barn. Please help me find another print or the artist. Put "barn print" in subject line!
