  Hi all,
I am in need of suggestions on how to mount a piece of fused art glass that I am working on.
The piece is roughly 6"x6" square and I would like to mount it so it is floating within the frame (kind of like a shadow box). The piece itself is about 1/2 thick, so weight needs to be considered.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If it were displayed in a museum brass wire with nylon tubes would be used to support the piece.

If can be held using Silicone II or Aquarium Sealant--clear 100% silicone--four dabs should hold it to a secure background.

projects of this nature are covered in Framing Collectibles Vol 7 of the Library of Professional Picture Framing.
