  Yeah, I too have one of J.E. Greenleaf''s paintings. Based on a brief review of what''s posted on the internet, they all look alike or nearly so. . .she apparently had one picture that just kept comin'' out of that brush. I''m assuming of course that she did the bulk of her work before the advent of copying machines, that she did in fact paint each one anew. Come to think of it, that might have contributed to the lack of creative energy in her work . . .the repetition anesthetized her brain.

Beyond the striking sameness from picture to picture; considered as a single creation, they still don''t excite much artistic curiosity. That is, there''s nothing unique about her floral rendition. Indeed, her work comes across as one big, though tired, cliche.
