	does anyone have information about a painter named: M. Claghorn. I have a beautiful water- color landscape of a farm in Minnesota I believe. I believe the painting to be at least 40 years old and that the painter has since past away.

	i've just now seen your post of a couple of years ago. I hope this reply will still reach you. First off, I don't know of an M. Claghorn, American painter. I do,however, know of Kate Holladay Claghorn who lived 1863-1938 who had a Ph.D. in painting from Yale. There was a time when Kate was in Wisconsin, I believe, working with John R. Commons. I'm just wondering if there is any connection at all between this painting and Kate. I don't know of any extant paintings that Kate did. I'd love to see the painting no matter who did it. We Cleghorns, also often spelled Claghorn but the same folks, have many artists in our family line. I myself am an artist. I've several nephews who are artists that i know of and there are probably many more that i don't know about as it does seem to run in the family.
