I understand how to "float" a watercolor, but: How do I attach the matboard (behind the watercolor) to the foam core filler that raised the piece from the background mat?
Thanks,
Laurel

Hi Laurel..
I usually use a combination of ATG tape in a grid formation with a few small lines of water-based white glue within the grid. You don't need much glue- especially if it's Mitre Mite, or Corner Weld. The ATG holds until the glue sets up. This is more permanent. 3-M photo Mount is great, but it is not acid-free and might off-gas over a period of years. This might be a factor if you are framing a valuable original.

I use 3M photomount spray adhesive for this type of work.
