I have a rather large wooden frame to join, I dont have a joiner, but it is thumbnailed. I have stained the inside corners with a matching color and now am glueing two of the corners. I see there is a slight space in between corners, what can I use to fill in the gap. I have a bar of colored wax, but dont know how to use it. Would like an answer asap. Thanks

If you have a Thumbnailed frame with gapped corners, consider asking for a replacement from the supplier. The plastic inserts should pull the miters together tightly.

For slight gaps in miters, most framers keep small cans of wax filler in a selection of colors, which may be intermixed for exact matching of the frame color.

NOTE: When you use a stain marker to color the miters, be sure to mark only the very edges and keep it off the glue area, since the stain would foul the glue bond.

Any spatula would work. A heated spatula or wax working tool can be useful.
