Hi I have a cust with 24 x 36 pix to hang on true mahogany walls in the office. Is there anything available that can be used so not to put holes in the mahogany. thx, sue |

There are several commercial gallery hanging systems available for this purpose. In my gallery we have used the Arakawa hanging system, which involves special low-profile channels installed on the walls at the ceiling; strong, flexible cables; and small, sliding hangers with a sturdy locking mechanism.
Such hanging systems are used in many galleries and museums. |

I posted a similar reply to a query re walnut panelling:
You could recommend that he install picture rails. You might need to work with a carpenter or interior designer who could find rails made in mahogany or another timber finished to match the walls. The rails can be installed high up on the wall and would be a decorative feature in the room. The pictures are hung from wires hooked between the rail and vertical D-rings on the side of the frames. |
